The Resting Room

FAQs

Everything worth knowing before you book The Resting Room.

What is the difference between the two experiences?
Acoustic Sound Healing is 60 minutes to slow down and reconnect. Deep Rest & Sound is 120 minutes and is our signature experience, combining guided deep rest with an extended live acoustic sound journey. Both are received lying down, and neither asks anything of you.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 20 minutes ahead of your session so you have time to settle onto your mattress before the sound begins. We are strictly unable to admit guests more than 10 minutes after a session has started, because entering a session in progress disrupts it for everyone in the room.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax while lying down. Further arrival and preparation details will be shared with your booking confirmation.
Do I need previous sound healing or meditation experience?
No. No experience is necessary and nothing is guided that you need to follow or get right. Just arrive, lie down and rest.
Will I be lying down throughout?
That is the idea. A mattress is yours for the whole session and the experience is designed to be received lying down. You are free to shift position or sit up at any point; please just stay on your own mattress so the room stays still for everyone around you.
Can I fall asleep?
Yes, and many people do. Drifting between wakefulness and sleep is part of the experience rather than a failure of it.
Is there an age limit?
All participants must be aged 14 or above. To preserve a quiet, immersive environment for everyone, children under 14 cannot attend.
The mattresses have no bed linen. What about hygiene?
Our mattresses are intentionally presented without traditional bed linen as part of the event's design. Between sessions, mattresses will be refreshed and sanitised using a suitable product, and fresh pillow slips will be provided for each guest.
Are there any health reasons I should not attend?
Sound experiences may not be suitable for everyone. Guests who are pregnant, have a heart condition or pacemaker, a history of psychosis, severe claustrophobia or another condition that may be affected by immersive sound should contact our team before booking. Participation while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
All bookings are final: no cancellations, no changes and no refunds once paid. Please be sure of your session before you pay. If something has gone wrong, write to care@futureresonance.com and we will do what we can.
